Tories plan to scrap exclusion appeals

The Conservatives will today promise to scrap parents' right to appeal if their child is permanently excluded as part of a drive to tackle bad behaviour in schools. Under the Tories, parents would no longer have the right to an independent appeal or to challenge headteachers' decision to exclude their child.
